About the role
No prior professional business-analysis experience is required. Readiness may be demonstrated through academic work, process-analysis exercises, documentation samples, stakeholder-facing projects, internships, or self-directed learning. You will help stakeholders and technical teams reach a shared understanding of problems, outcomes, and constraints so XieTech can deliver useful solutions for Filipino users and organizations.
What you'll do
- Plan and facilitate discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews, and focused requirement discussions
- Map current and future business processes, pain points, roles, decisions, and information flows
- Write clear user stories, use cases, business rules, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria
- Support backlog refinement, prioritization, estimation, and controlled requirement changes
- Maintain traceability from business goals and requirements through design, implementation, and testing
- Clarify questions and tradeoffs with product, engineering, design, QA, and business stakeholders
- Validate delivered behavior against agreed outcomes and document decisions for future reference
What you'll bring
- No prior professional business-analysis experience is required
- Evidence of readiness through academic work, process-analysis exercises, documentation samples, stakeholder-facing projects, internships, or self-directed learning
- Ability to facilitate discussions and surface assumptions, conflicts, dependencies, and missing information
- Strong command of user stories, use cases, process maps, business rules, and acceptance criteria
- Analytical thinking that connects detailed requirements to broader user and business outcomes
- Clear, concise writing and communication with both technical and non-technical participants
- Reliable organization of decisions, versions, traceability, and follow-up actions
Nice to have
- Exposure to agile delivery, product discovery, service design, or stakeholder-facing project work
- Familiarity with BPMN, UML, data mapping, or lightweight prototyping
- Experience supporting Philippine SMEs, public-interest services, or operational digitization
- Basic understanding of APIs, databases, testing, or analytics
