About the role
No prior professional software-engineering experience is required. Based on your technical foundation, demonstrated projects, practical exposure, and readiness for ownership, you may be considered for an intern/junior pathway or a mid-level upskilling track. You will work with product, design, QA, and DevOps to deliver reliable features for Filipino users and businesses while developing sound full-stack engineering practices.
What you'll do
- Deliver end-to-end features across backend services, web interfaces, APIs, and databases
- Write readable, tested, and maintainable code using Java and Spring Boot, React and TypeScript, or equivalent technologies
- Participate in technical discovery, estimation, code reviews, testing, releases, and post-release support
- Investigate defects and production issues through structured debugging, logs, and reproducible evidence
- Document technical decisions, API behavior, setup steps, and operational considerations
- Collaborate proactively with product, design, QA, and DevOps in a remote, flexible-time environment
- Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly while validating output, protecting data, and retaining engineering judgment
What you'll bring
- No prior professional software-engineering experience is required
- Demonstrated interest through academic work, personal projects, internships, freelance work, bootcamps, or self-directed learning
- Foundational understanding of programming, object-oriented concepts, web development, or software-delivery practices
- Willingness to learn and apply full-stack practices using Java, Spring Boot, React, TypeScript, or equivalent technologies
- Ability to receive feedback, communicate progress clearly, and take ownership of assigned work
- Reliable problem-solving habits and willingness to test, debug, document, and improve completed work
- Commitment to building practical, dependable solutions for Filipino users and businesses
Nice to have
- Familiarity or project experience in software engineering, full-stack development, or related technical work
- Exposure to Java, Spring Boot, React, TypeScript, APIs, databases, testing, Git, or equivalent technologies
- Familiarity with Next.js, PostgreSQL, Docker, CI/CD, cloud platforms, or secure coding practices
- Thoughtful use of AI coding assistants for research, testing, debugging, or implementation
