Software Quality Engineer

About the role

With a minimum of one year of relevant software-testing or quality-assurance experience, you will help teams release dependable digital products by identifying risks early and providing clear evidence about product behavior. Working with product, design, engineering, and DevOps, you will combine manual, exploratory, API, regression, and targeted automated testing for experiences built around varied Filipino users and operating conditions.

What you'll do

• Develop risk-based test strategies and practical plans for features, integrations, and releases
• Perform manual, exploratory, regression, integration, compatibility, and API testing
• Create maintainable test cases, test data, traceability, and release-quality evidence
• Report defects with clear reproduction steps, impact, evidence, priority context, and follow-up
• Manage defects through triage, verification, regression testing, and closure
• Identify high-value automation opportunities and maintain reliable automated checks
• Contribute quality metrics and collaborate early with product and engineering to prevent defects

What you'll bring

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant software-testing or quality-assurance experience
• Practical exposure to manual, automation, API, regression, exploratory, or release-quality testing
• Understanding of test design, risk-based testing, defect lifecycles, and release readiness
• Ability to investigate unexpected behavior and distinguish product defects from data or environment issues
• Strong written communication and disciplined capture of test steps, evidence, and outcomes
• Working knowledge of HTTP, browser behavior, APIs, databases, and versioned software delivery
• Ability to balance thoroughness with delivery priorities and user impact

Nice to have

• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or another automation framework
• Experience with Postman, REST clients, contract testing, or database validation
• Familiarity with accessibility, performance, security, or mobile-device testing
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
